Recirculating Pumps
Re-circulation pumps are necessary for homes whose farthest plumbing fixture that uses hot water from the Water heater tank exceeds 50’. This pump will circulate the stagnant, Luke warm water left inside the water pipes, by pumping the water to the lower part of the water heater, causing the burner assembly to ignite & keep hot water on demand.
Thermal Expansion Tanks
In new builds these thermal expansion tanks will usually be installed right off of the meter loop down stream from any check valve. Other times they are installed on the cold feed to the water heater. Either way the purpose for these tanks is to allow excessive pressure that builds up do to the water heating a place to expand. These are for your safety and the thermal expansion tank serves the purpose of prolonging the life of your faucets & appliances by reducing the risk of excessive pressure.
Plumbing Demolition
Old and used plumbing can be dangerous to your health and can be risky to your project if it is not demoed correctly. For all of your remodels, renovations and/ or additions Lujan PSI will take out old plumbing and clean it up to be ready for the next stage of rough in. Irrigation backflow prevention and vacuum breakers
Coming off of the meter loop the first branch that we install in residential builds is usually a 3/4” or 1” feed to supply your irrigation system outside. We mount a Pressure Vacuum Breaker like the one in this picture to prevent any contamination coming back in to your potable water system. For the PVB to be installed it has to be a minimum of 12” above the highest point of your lot that is getting water supply. An RP BFP is also an option for back flow prevention in your construction build.
